Cosentino RAYTRACE designed by Benjamin Hubert of Layer Design
Salone del Mobile 2019
Over 40 tons of Cosentino’s Dekton material was used in building this incredibly ambitious first installation for the brand during Salone del Mobile in Milan. Designed by Benjamin Hubert of Layer Design, RAYTRACE emphasized the versatility of Dekton and reimagined the material in an entirely new way.
The strength and massive scale of the Dekton structure built under the Milano Centrale train station was softened by 29 bespoke acrylic caustic spheres which created a dreamlike tunnel of refracted light ripples encompassing visitors in an underwater-like experience.
The campaign included managment of the design, manufacturing, on-site installation, run of show, and VIP dinners and events
